On 8th April 2005, Hydroelectric EL Chocón adhered to the ten international basic ruling principles of good conduct, which conform the Global Act of the United Nations and which make reference to Human Rigths, Labor Rigths, Environmental protection and the fight against corruption.

The Global Act was launched on 31st January 1999 by the General Deputy of the United Nations Organization (ONU), Mr Kofi Annan. It is the onset of an ethical commitment applied with the purpose of promoting the creation of a global corporate citizenship that enables the conciliation of the interests and processes of the corporate activities with the ethical values and demands of the society.

Therefore, H.E.C.S.A is pleased to have joined the group of entities that have adhered to the Global Act and commits itself to adopt such principles as part of its strategical planning and daily actions.
